Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Department Head, the engineer will participate in several projects by designing the electrical components of automated machines and equipment.

Responsabilities

  • Lead the electrical design of projects in collaboration with designers and draftsmen
  • Guide team members in technical choices and design directions
  • Ensure compliance with standards
  • Conduct technical reviews with project team members to ensure quality and multidisciplinary consistency
  • Define technical solutions and adapt them during the project
  • Supervise electrical integration in multidisciplinary systems
  • Contribute to electromechanical meetings
  • Perform calculations, sizing, and validation
  • Check and approve engineering drawings
  • Conduct cost studies and analyses
  • Take measurements
  • Write technical documents (operation manuals, specifications, reports)
  • Perform pre-delivery checks in the workshop
  • Site supervision
  • Participate in establishing design standards and implementing them
  • Actively contribute to the deployment of quality control and assurance processes
  • Propose continuous improvement initiatives related to departmental and company processes
  • Contribute to best practices in project management

Required Skills

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (member of the OIQ);
  •  3–7 years of experience;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical;
  • Strong ability to solve technical problems;
  • Knowledge of CSA C22.2 standards is an asset;
  • Knowledge of UL and CE standards is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the aluminum and industrial sectors is an asset;
  • Experience with an equipment manufacturer is an asset;
  • Ability to work within a project team in an international context;
  • Due to an international client base, professional proficiency in English is required.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Parts and Receiving/Shipping Clerk is responsible for receiving, shipping, inventory management, and supporting assembly activities. The incumbent ensures the accuracy of incoming shipments, manages non-conformities, prepares outgoing shipments, and maintains an organized work environment in compliance with established procedures.

Responsabilities

Receiving

  • Receive orders and packages.
  • Unload pallets and large parts using a forklift.
  • Verify the conformity of received goods (quantity, part number, quality, condition) against purchase orders.
  • Coordinate incoming quality inspections for critical items with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage non-conformities with the Quality Coordinator and place non-conforming parts on hold.
  • Store received parts in the appropriate location (shop or warehouse) and inform the relevant personnel.
  • Enter receipts into systems (MEP, Avantage, ERP) and update storage locations.
  • Scan and file receiving documents (BOLs, delivery slips, customs documents, etc.).

Inventory Management and Assembly Support

  • Participate in periodic inventories of the warehouse and shop floor.
  • Ensure optimal inventory management according to production needs.
  • Prepare mechanical and electrical material required for equipment assembly.
  • Support the production team in locating, ensuring availability, and preparing required materials.
  • Maintain effective communication with the shop floor, quality team, buyer, and supervisor.

Shipping

  • Determine the weight and dimensions of packages and pallets.
  • Pack and prepare shipments according to required specifications and deadlines.
  • Prepare quality documentation and take photos of items prior to shipment.
  • Coordinate transportation, pickups, and export planning.
  • Coordinate supplier returns in collaboration with the quality and purchasing teams.
  • Load materials using a forklift.
  • Prepare transportation and customs clearance documents (B/L, customs forms, shipping documents).
  • Act as the main point of contact with carriers, suppliers, and internal partners for receiving and shipping activities.

Other Responsibilities

  • Apply health and safety rules during handling and storage operations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform any other related tasks inherent to the position.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma required;
  • Vocational diploma (DEP) in logistics or a related field (asset);
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in receiving/shipping or inventory management;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems / Avantage (asset);
  • Forklift certification (or training to be provided);
  • Good computer skills (Office Suite, scanning, digital filing);
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and shipping documents;
  • Attention to detail, autonomy, organization, and accuracy;
  • Ability to lift loads and work in a shop environment;
  • Team spirit, effective communication skills, and reliability.
